I would to say Happy Birthday to Sifu Jeremy Roadruck, Head Instructor of the Centerville School.

In the martial arts traditions, you have two birthdays: the one that started your life and the one that started your martial arts life. Sifu Jeremy started with me on March 21st, 1995. That makes him 14 this year.

It's just a matter of time before he grows up to become a Master in his own right and a giant in the martial arts.

Dear Students, Parents, and Friends,

Thank you to everyone that wished me well on my birthday, yesterday. This year, I didn't get a tube in my chest so that was a good thing!

Thank you for the wall hangings - I guess you're all hinting that the walls look kind of bare.

In all seriousness, thank you for your kind thoughts and wishes - and the Bruce Lee card.

I generally don't make a big deal about my birthday anymore but I'll be turning 14 just a little later this month (this month is also my kung fu birthday!)

And as a special gift to all my students, and their friends and family - I'll have something for each of you on Monday next week.

This is a place to share information, celebrate our successes, get support for our challenges, and discuss learning to live a kung fu life. Yes, Sir - it sure did. Lots of things have happened in the last year - another lung, the school continuing to grow, more research to be completed. It's all good and getting better!
