A note for all students

If we have any questions, I think we need to post them and not worry about what someone is going to think about us for asking. The Sifus and other students who are farther than us from all the branches can help us learn. This is an especially good forum because there is so much good information and it is a positive forum. A lot of sites you go to, you can't be sure if the information is good or acurate. This one is! Have fun and learn!

I agree with you Aaron if we are getting serious about our martial arts education and life in general we have to be willing to seek knowledge and information and sometimes that search can open us up to humiliation. In the end the path to true understanding will at some point include the process of the self becoming humble.
There is no such thing as a stupid question
, if you don't know you don't know and if you would like to know you should ask someone who may know the answer to your question. I can think of no better place for your questions to recieve honest and educated answers than this forum.

True. If everyone had all the answers they needed they would stop growing. I plan on making it habit to ask questions, after a moment of reflection of course...
I just beat myself up for not catching on as fast as someone else..

Dave you should not beat yourself up for not running the race as fast as someone else. Focus on running your race and with determination and perserverance you will reach your goal and win your race. the person that was running fast in the beginning may have gotten tired and stopped running the race or slowed down a great deal. You may be suprised who is at the goal line when you get there it may not be the person you were worried about keeping up with brother. I will see you at the goal line when we get there sir.
