Dear Students, Parents, and Friends,

Feel free to pass this message along to all the women in your life - this workshop just
might save someone's life!

In honor of Mother's Day, Meng's Martial Arts of Centerville is proud to present a
complimentary 90 minute Self-Development, Self-Defense Workshop for Mom's only.

During this hour-and-a-half, we'll be covering the differences between self-defense and
fighting, the importance of self-control (simple ways to practice it, and simpler ways to
teach it to our kids), tips and tricks for helping families stay safe in an increasingly
rough'n'tumble world, the three factors that lead to an assault (and how to stop them),
plus hands-on self-defense exercises that are safe to practice at home, easy to remember,
and also very, very effective when it matters - all is a comfortable, positive, well-lit,
clean environment. Call 937-361-4579 for details. This workshop is complimentary, free,
no strings attached, no obligations.

Meng's Martial Arts of Centerville promises: no negative attitudes, and no injuries...
and all Meng's training comes with a guarantee: if they can't teach you to escape common
wrist grabs with your eyes closed in less than an hour, they'll give you $50!

So get some friends together and give me a call - we can set up a private workshop, or
you can come to one of two scheduled workshops:

Friday, May 22nd at 6pm or Saturday, May 23rd at 10am.

Sincerely,
Jeremy R., the Kung Fu Guy

Dear Students, Parents, and Friends,

As most of you know, in honor of Mother's Day this month, we're offering two special
self-development, self-defense workshops this month:

Friday, May 22nd @ 6p-7:30p
Saturday, May 23rd @ 10a-11:30a

Well, I've had a few questions and I'd like to answer them here:

1) What if I can't make it for the workshops on Fri or Sat?

If you already have your schedule planned out in advance and know you have a conflict,
we're also offering this special 90-minute workshop on an as-needed basis. All you have
to do is call to confirm a time/date that works for you during the month of May and it
will be complimentary.

2) I have a hectic schedule and clearing 90 minutes is tough.

If you don't think you can schedule 90 minutes, this workshop can be presented in 60
minutes as well. The difference between the two is the amount of time given to practice
the physical techniques.

3) Do I have to bring my friends to the Centerville school?

While it's best to run the workshop at the Centerville school - we have all the necessary
equipment and white boards - this workshop can also be presented in your home or place of
business. When you reserve your time, we will need to know the expected number of
participants to bring enough equipment and supplies.

4) Is this workshop only for currently enrolled members?

Absolutely not! While I would definitely love to see all the mothers of our current
students participating this month, everyone is welcome and encouraged to invite friends,
neighbors, business associates, employees, church or temple members... if you can think
of where mothers might be, please let them know we have this wonderful workshop available
and it's complete, and utterly free!

I hope this helps to clear up some confusion and any questions or concerns about the
workshops. Again - we have two scheduled for May 22nd and 23rd, plus they can be set up
on an as-needed basis. You can have a workshop at the Centerville school, at your home,
or even at your place of business. And it's open to employees, employers, friends,
neighbors... all the Moms you know are welcome to attend.

Please help to get the word out and I look forward to seeing you this month!

Sincerely,
Sifu Jeremy

Dear Students, Parents, and Friends,

As I've announced in class this week, there will be no classes on

Dear Students, Parents, and Friends,

Meng's Martial Art and Centerville Leadership Academy teaches positive attitudes, respect
for parents and teachers, and the ability to defend oneself.  Our instructors develop
strengths not only in bodies, but also in hearts and minds.  We encourage our students to
develop lasting friendships inside and outside the school and how to become mature,
caring, and productive members of society (Yes, we do offer adult courses, too).

Let me explain how our School Membership Drive works.

Helping youngsters set and achieve life goals is an exciting challenge, renewable with
each enrollee. I take pride in helping our students gain new confidence and develop new
skills, but something is missing.

We can do more, should do more, and will do more with your understanding and help.

What we are doing:
1. Increased class size capacity through remodeling;
2. Adding teachers to handle additional classes;
3. Gearing-up to better serve our community.

How you can help:
1. Visit our facility and bring you spouse and children (M-Th, 5p-8p);
2. Call us (361-4579) set up an appointment to visit or, if  you prefer, we will visit
you;
3. Pick-up some Gold Guest Passes (available at our office for a limited time) and share
them with other concerned parents.

Gold Guest Pass Benefits:
1. They receive a Complimentary VIP 60-minute Self-Development, Self-Defense Workshop,
2. You receive a One hour private lesson with Sifu Jeremy for your help in distributing
Gold Guest Passes;
3. You are helping build confidence and improving outlooks in our youth, our 'adults-in-
progress.'

I look forward to meeting you and your friends in person,

Sifu Jeremy, the Kung Fu Guy

Dear Students, Parents and Friends,

I wanted to remind everyone of a few things:

1) We will have classes Mon and Tue this week, then close Wed to Sat for Thanksgiving. Please have a happy, safe, and healthy Turkey Day!!!

2) Tonight and tomorrow, I'll be giving all students (adults and
youth) a blank, white poster board to work on their Vision Board over the break. I have mine complete to give you some ideas of what you can put on yours. Please have these completed by Mon 30th or Tue 1st - we'll be hanging your Vision Boards throughout the school.

3) On Friday, December 4th from 6p-7p, we'll be having a special Board Breaking Class on goal setting and we'll be using the Vision Boards.
Parents, please plan on attending this special workshop with your child. There is no cost for this workshop and we'll be breaking real boards, not the re-breakable ones.

4) Phil and Amanda will be testing for 1st Degree Black Belt on Saturday, December 5th from 3p-7p. If you have the time, please come out and show your support.

5) The weekend of December 11-13th, we'll be having special Instructor Training in Huber Heights. And there will be some special training for Leadership Students as well. We'll also be having a special event that Saturday night and doing Student Awards. It's important that we take the time to celebrate our successes individually as well as with a group of positive, supportive people - like our kung fu family!

6) And finally, the last Kid's Night Out of the year will be Friday, Dec 18th from 6p-10p. And we'll be closed Saturday Dec 19th to Jan 2nd, with classes resuming on Sunday, Jan 3rd.

As we wrap up this year, I hope each of you are proud of your accomplishments at school, at work, and in the martial arts.

Sincerely,
Sifu Jeremy

"Aside from my parents and brother, Master Meng has made the single biggest impact on my life - personally and professionally. Before I started working with Master Meng, I was an anger-addicted 20-year-old working 40 hours in a sandpaper factory and angry 95% of the time. Since that time, I’ve traveled extensively, discovered a more relaxed and happy approach towards life and shared fellowship with many great Masters in the martial arts. Master Meng has always been patient with me, didn’t told grudges when I disagreed with him and argued for my point of view, and has continued to be a great bridge builder and wonderful example of a dedicated martial artist. He has also trusted and supported my judgment as I move forward in my own career and path within the martial arts community."
