Fifteen months ago when I started at Meng's I was twenty pounds heavier and ten years older than I am today. I had danced, tried body-for-life for 8 months, lifted some weights at the gym, but couldn't make myself regularly do any exercise where I had to sweat. I had also learned to accept and adapt to having ADD-like symptoms of mental processing, which are now 98% gone.

But that's only part of it. I've always been a seeker, doing every personal growth approach that came my way. In those activities, I'd usually learn something, think about things in a new way -- feel uplifted for awhile, and think I'd found "another piece of the puzzle."

The way Martial Arts is taught at Meng's, there are no fragmented pieces. It becomes a way of life that shapes my life into a balanced, happy whole. All dimensions are available to pursue, for those who desire it. Personal development, character improvement, spiritual wisdom, strengthening of mental capacity, goal support, life coaching.   And of course -- the healthiest and most natural exercises for development of physical fitness, that are SO fun, so varied, mentally interesting (captivating because they are for the practical use of safeguarding life!) --  that I don't even realize I'm exercising. SO different from having to force myself to go to the gym! I feel happy the minute my car turns towards Huber Heights.

What can I say? My gratitude knows no bounds.
Sincerely,
Karen

That sounds Great Karen! Thanks for sharing. I seem to have this ADD mindset also. I truly desire to clear my head and develop a sharp focusing ability.
Anything you can share on what you did to do this would be appreciated.
Also can you share on how you became a member of Meng's?

I was a student from 1990 until 1994, when I graduated High School and went into the Army. Now I'm back in full force!

Thanks again.
