China Kung Fu Trip 2011 (Aug 3-15)
Dear Students, Parents, and Friends,
The 2011 China Trip is shaping up and, while still in the tentative stage, we want to get it on your radar ASAP. The tentative dates are August 3rd to 15th (the trip may be shortened one day when finally confirmed). Grand Master Kenneth Lin (head of the Hek Ki Boen Eng Chun lineage) and Grand Master Benny Meng will both be on this trip. This is your chance to experience the birthplaces of Shaolin Kung Fu at the Northern Temple in Honan Province, the original Shaolin - and where Grand Master Meng was part of the first team of Americans allowed to train in China back in the early 80s, the birthplace of Wing Chun in the Southern Shaolin Temple (and we'll be visiting all 3 temples), plus see the Forbidden City in Beijing, the Great Wall of China (the only human made object you can see from Space!), plus experience the majesty and history of China with your own eyes. Once in China, all accommodations will be 1st Class: 4- and 5-star lodging and meals, and a guided tour... plus personal time and interaction with two experts in the martial arts and Wing Chun!
Our planned schedule includes:
Day 01 to 4: Arrival in Beijing
Day 05: Luoyang
Day 06: Luoyang - Shanghai (Northern Shaolin Temple)
Day 07 & 08: Shanghai
Day 09: Shanghai - Fuzhou - Putian
Day 10: Putian - Quanzhou (Southern Shaolin Temples - all 3!)
Day 12: Quanzhou/ Departure from Xiamen
